For the Emperor!
Holy crap. This game is everything I wanted and more. Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 PC Download has been on my radar since it was announced, and it absolutely delivers.
You play as Lieutenant Titus. He’s back. The same Ultramarine from the 2011 original. And he’s angrier than ever.
The first time you see a Tyranid swarm? Jaw-dropping. Hundreds of enemies on screen at once. Saber Interactive built this on their Swarm Engine, and it shows. These bugs just keep coming. You’ll be slashing, shooting, stomping, and executing your way through wave after wave.
Combat Feels Brutal
Let me describe the combat in one word: heavy. Your chainsword rips through enemies with real weight. Your boltgun kicks like a mule. And when you execute a wounded Tyranid? Titus just punches his fist through its skull. No hesitation. No mercy.
You get six classes to play in multiplayer. Each has unique perks and abilities. Want to be a sniper? Pick the Sniper class. Prefer heavy weapons? Heavy class is your friend. You can unlock up to 25 perks per class and customize your weapons too.
Story and Setting
The campaign runs about 10-12 hours. That’s a solid length for this kind of game. No filler. Just pure action. And the best part? The developers confirmed it’s fully canon to Warhammer 40K lore. So everything you do matters in the bigger universe.
No microtransactions either. How refreshing is that? All gameplay content and features are free. Paid DLC is only cosmetic stuff. Armor skins, weapon looks, that kind of thing.
Performance and DRM
Here’s some great news. The game has no Denuvo . None. Zero DRM protection besides standard Steam stuff. The developers confirmed this in an official FAQ before launch. That means no performance hits from anti-tamper software. Saber Interactive actually listens to PC gamers.
DLSS2 and FSR2 work on day one. DLSS3 and FSR3 come later. No ray tracing though. That’s fine by me. The game already looks gorgeous without it.
One more thing. There’s a free 4K Texture Pack available on Steam if your PC can handle it . But be warned—that pack needs 12GB VRAM and a seriously beefy CPU. We’re talking RTX 3080 or better. Oh, and an extra 85GB of storage space.

Nope. Standard Edition is $60. Gold and Ultra editions cost more. But honestly? Worth every credit. The campaign alone is fantastic, and the multiplayer adds tons of replay value.

Steam is your best bet. Also available on Epic Games Store. The developers confirmed no Denuvo, so buying from either store gives you a clean, DRM-free experience .
Do I need an internet connection to play it?
Single-player campaign works completely offline. Multiplayer modes (Operations and Eternal War PvP) need online access. So if you just want to kill Tyranids solo, you’re fine without Wi-Fi .

75 GB for the base game. Plus an extra 85 GB if you want the free 4K Texture Pack. That’s 160 GB total. And you absolutely need an SSD. Don’t even try installing this on a hard drive. It won’t end well .
